Padelya is built on the idea that padel should be welcoming for everyone. Here's how we keep it safe.

Blocking another player

If another player is making you uncomfortable, open their profile and tap Block. They will no longer see your bookings, won't be able to join matches you host, and won't be matched with you in any open game. Blocks are silent — the other person isn't notified. You can review and unblock anyone from your privacy settings.

Reporting after a match

After every public match you can submit a short report: was the player respectful, did they show up, were the scores fair? Reports are anonymous to the reported player but visible to our trust team. Three substantiated reports trigger a manual review and possible suspension.

Women-only matches

When a host marks a match as women-only, the discovery feed surfaces it with a clear "Women only" badge. This is a community-honoured signal, not a verified status — Padelya does not yet collect a verified gender field on signup, so the request relies on player honesty and host judgement at the moment of joining.

Hosts who suspect a join request doesn't fit can decline it from the match detail before the booking is confirmed. If you're a player, please respect the host's intent and only join women-only matches when the request fits.

We're working on stronger verification (sub-#7 Trust roadmap, BACK-073). Until that ships, treat the "Women only" badge as the community's request, not a hard guarantee.

Mediated chat

In-app chat is moderated. We auto-filter slurs and harassment, and any message flagged by a player is reviewed by our team within 24 hours. Sharing personal contact details (phone numbers, social media) is allowed but discouraged in public matches — keep the conversation on the platform until you've played together.
